Another seasons starts and already I am reminded of what got me into this sport; FRIENDSHIPS, COMRADERY AND THE RACERS THEMSELVES.
We were able to race this weekend because:
first, all the hard work of the team to the wee hours of the night ;
second, the help of Chris Flood of Ft. Lauderdale Custom Rigging, who was at the pits helping us get the boat together, and who drove down, early Sunday morning to the docks when we found the boat suddenly had no ignition spark;
third, the help of Laz Mesa in diagnosing a broken lifter last Thursday night;
fourth, and certainly not least, Tommy from Chief Engines (also now somwhat of PREDATOR fame) who, despite being a direct competing team in our class, provided us not only the set of lifters that got us on the races course, but further offered a loaner Chief engine, so we could make it to the race! THAT'S CLASS.
Thank you, from Albert, Adrian, Mike and me!
