Just got the new Merc dealer newsletter. The new drive for the 700 is now called the NXT1 drive
Actually the "1" is smaller, in the upper corner but I don't know how to type that.There is a very small footnote at the bottom that says it was introduced in Miami as the ACE drive. Bet there is a good story here. Anyone know what happened?

Konrad owns the trademark "ACE" as it relates to marine propulsion.

I think the marketing guys blew it. NXT1, I guess pronounced "next 1"? Kind of bland to me,like they had one ,(XR), and this is the next one?What about the next one after that?I thought Mini 6 made more sense. Come on Merc,why didn't you just ask Fred K. to name it?
