Default Got 5900 rpm with a 28 B1, need to stay around 5700

What should I do? I tried a 30 but RPMs were low, around 5200. Doesn't sound right so I will try it again.Should I try a Hydro 29? 5 blade, but may loose top end? I tried the PX-5, but did not work well. Good cruise but lost around 8 mph top end. Would the Maximus be the same?

I did borrow a labbed 30 but I was able to spin it to 5800 rpm with no speed gain. I don't know the specifics as to what was done to it.

I have been spinning left as instructed by previous owner. He said it leaned heavily to starboard. It leaned spinning left but not as bad. I tried a right hand prop, and low and behold, it road flat as a pancake!!! So now I will spin it right!

Any suggestions?

Give Brett at BBlades a call.
He just did some mods to my 28p Bravo 1 and hit the mark first try.
It sounds like you need to run a stock 30p B1 and see where she's at or just send your 28p to BBlades for a little tweaking.
See you in a few weeks brother...

I'd have a little tweaking done to the 28,I'm surprised the 30 labbed gave you good rpm's but no top end increase. Who labbed it,you may want to try a different one,Smitty

Pat, I've spoken to Brett. I'm trying to test as many props as I can to get close to where I want to be.

Smitty, I borrowed the labbed 30 and don't know any specifics. It looks like a lot of material was taken off the top of the blades.

Schwing has a set of 30's he runs on the OuterLimits Im sure he would let you borrow for testing.
Maybe try Scott as well, he has a few sets I believe.
Then get in touch with Brett and get it going.

Thanks again for the ride yesturday.....that boat hauls the mail.
