Default Any impressions of the Baja 40 Outlaw?

I've been looking to upgrade from my Formula 312 to a larger boat. I had the opportunity to check out a 2006 40 Outlaw with triple 496's. The boat looks great, but over the years I haven't developed a great opinion of Baja. I'm not looking to run real fast, mid 70's is OK. Could anyone comment on the ride and long term quality?

What are they asking for price? If it is any where near $300 let me know and I can get you hooked up with a Black Thunder.

Had the 2001 brochure boat with the 575's, boat handled the water decent ran low 70's, but not sure about the trips, might be a little ass heavy, will probably need alot of tab, I would want to be in the low 200's on it.

My dock neighbor has one with thriple 500efi's that runs a hair over 80. It is a nice boat with classic lines. He wants to sell it, moved on to cars and bikes. Very low hours always stored in showroom.

I doubt you'll be happy with a Baja after getting used to the quality and fit of a Formula.
Not that Baja hasn't made great strides in the last few years, but the Formula has been top-grade for decades.
Good Luck in whichever boat you choose, and oh yes...GET IT SURVEYED!!

Going from a Formula Fit,Finish, and build quality. I don't think you will be happy with a Baja
