Default Water in Exhaust Manifold

OK,

Posted other day about tearing down my '99 7.4L MPI and seeing little specks of rust on the intake ports and valve stems.

This weekend I got the exhaust off and the starboard side manifold had rusty water sitting inside of it. Got the manifolds off and threw them in the dumpster and am purchasing new.

The exhaust ports were a little rusty but the valve stems look fine. Valvetrain was spotless. Port side was bone dry and looked normal.

I am pulling the heads to do head gaskets and get them checked out. Any idea what it would cost if I need to get that one head reworked, possible only exhaust valves? The engine only has 300hrs so I don't want to get into full rebuilds, basically only replace exhaust valves if they need to be.

Thanks,

- Mike

Well,

It's officially way worse than originally thought. Cylinder walls, pistons and heads are rusted beyond recognition and possibly even repair.

Anyone got a longblock or engine they wanna sell?
