I am in the market for props for a 38 powerquest, bought the boat with out any. It is a 1995, no step. 502 efi's ( stock rebuilds) Bravo I. It looks like I should start with 26 Bravo I, but I have no where to start from. Will the 4 blades be the best bet? Looking for good cruse, and top end.

Most of my clients with Powerquest boats run Bravo I propellers sucessfully. If you need some props to test with let me know. Our Propeller Fitting Program is available to all of you.

I agree with Julie that the Bravo 1 is the best all around prop for your application. Not necessarily with all Powerquests', but your vintage will appreciate the mid range with the Bravo 1. We have used your boat as a test platform in the past and see advantages on the top with 3 blades but valuable losses in the mid range can occur. Newer PQ's are different.

My '97 straight hull 38 foot Top gun with the same engines and drives came from Cigarette with 24 Bravo 1's spinning about 4900-5000 RPM's. I would think that 24P is a good place to start. Top Guns are pretty heavy. Not sure about Powerquest. If you are a lot lighter then maybe a 26P would work better???
