Getting rid of Black Streaks And CORRECT buffing pads
#1
I have these black streaks all over the boat. Last year I used a product by 3M called Marine Restorer and Wax and then waxed right after that. It seems to bring the boat to a very nice glossy look and was amazing. I used a cloth type pad last time on the buffer but for this year I was alerted to use a foam pad instead. I was also told that it would prevent swirl marks on the hull. Can anyone confirm some of these myths for me? Thanks

depends on what you are buffing. i have always had best luck with wool on gel coat and foam on painted surfaces. what are you working on?
