When did Ford jump the conventional tow rating for the F250/F350 from 10,000# to 12,500#? Fords website only goes back to 2002 and I have found conflicting information on other sites and would like to be sure.

I know 99 F250 is 12,500-12,700.

Check out www.trailerlife.com. Go to the tech section and look up tow ratings. They have everything from 1999 forward. I think the change occured between 1999 and 2000.
