Marine Battery - Which Brand to Choose
#2
Just remembered .. OPTIMA is the name I was thinking about. Are these worth $200 a pop?? I don't mind spending it but I'd like to know I am getting some value for the premium price.

Check out Tojan batteries--they are bullet-proof and reasonably priced. Link is http://www.trojan-battery.com/Products/Marine.aspx

walmart batteries are made by interstate, same thing just in a yellow plastic. they are less expensive, and come with a warranty. i know a guy that gets a new one every year, just takes it in and returns it, he hasnt bought one in years, to me it's stealing but he has no conscience.

I have run sears die hard marine deep cycle and for the money They have been put through the test and have never let me down. Optmas are to be good but you can buy three for the price of one. and if you get three years out of one, you might not have the boat that long.

K,
Just save your money and go to Walmart. Batteries in Fl. don't last that long because of the excessive heat, and Wally world's will do just fine. They have worked great for me in the past. I have 4 MASSIVE Cell phone tower batteries in the Nordic now, because the guy I bought it from installed cell phone towers for a living!
Does the Donzi have a built in Battery charger? Call my cell when you are ready to go over to harbortown.Dean
