Any idea as to which demo boats will be there? Scott S. and Mark M,, can you shed some light on this?

I plan on being there... would love to demo a 38 and 42 Fountain

We are trying to fine tune this run. The people at Northpoint have made it very difficult to offer what we truly want to accomplish. Northpoint is a great place to boat put on a boating event.

We are trying to get the dealers to come with ideal boats for people to ride in. I would encourage calling the dealers directly to encourage them bringing the boat you would like to drive in.

WTF!! Last I knew it was cancelled!

Well, some people get frustrated dealing with politics. It may become a fun run with the dealers. Just trying to keep things alive.

Are the politics with Northpoint Marina? The water patrol was inspecting a lot of boats this weekend. We were hit while putting the boat on the trailer... we passed with flying colors! Saftey first!

Mark, any update for June 11th?

We went to Northpoint for lunch Saturday. We came by boat. Lake County Sherriff was there and the Conservation Dept. The Conservation Guys were real nice and were admiring the boat. They did not see or hear us come in. He did say there is no way I would pass the 90 DB test before we started the engines. We were willing to bet him and to go get his meter. He laughed and said if all those Fountains can not pass with 502's you must be off the chart. What he found out is the exhaust of the boat has turndowns going under the water. I am thrilled how quiet this thing is, it sounds like a cruiser boat at idle. The Supercharger has a little whine to it at idle is the loudest noise.

Even Waukegan Harbor had the water police everywhere.

Moral of the story is loud boats will get busted at that marina. Buy some CMI mufflers or CMI can make custom turn downs for you.
