I have a modified fuel injected 454 Pro-charged motor. I have run with no problems for 100 hours or so. At WOT when I hit the trim up I lose ignition and fuel.
I'm not sure if this is a fuel pump problem (I don't think likely) and the knock sensor helipng or possibly a bad trim motor pulling to many amps. I have cahnged the battery and alternater, added a large ground starp from the battery to the ground strap in the helm. It runs perfect except for this situation. Ant thoughts are appreciated.

First thing Id do is un plug the trim pumps and try it, if it doesnt do it then id check amperage draw at pump
the mtr does need more current to run at higher rpms its possible that due to a high draw from the pump its pushing the charging system past its limits
also check for bad grounds on the mtr and trim pump
check for pinched or shorted wires

Re: Losing power
At the end of the day and a lot of searching it turns out to be a defective replacement alternator.
Thanks for your response.
The regulator would respond, but not fast enough. After replacing it it seems OK.
