Default Price of fuel - impact on boat market?

Gas is selling for $3.40/gallon at my marina. I'm wondering how much the price of gas will impact boat sales (new and used). Will boats depreciate even quicker?

It will deter some people, I personally have decieded to wait and keep what I have rather than upgrade to a boat with twins.

Fall sounds a like an opportunity to buy. I'm not wealthy by any means, but I will buy the gas to run as long as they sell it. Maybe not as much WOT, but I'll still be on the lake driving around.

We're almost to the 4th of July.

I see many boats for sale but haven't seen dramatic price reductions.

Perhaps because I'm looking at boats under $50K?
