Beertruck, this is Jeff Murray, I base out of Canyon Lake calif which is 30 minuites from vista. I charge $2.25 per mile one way no matter what the size of the boat. With the fuel costs on the west coast it is hard to go cheaper and have the proper insurance and paperwork.
