Does anyone make a inner transom plate for a bravo 1 that doesn't have the factory steering mounts. I have full hydraulic steering and since the mounts are no longer used it looks real tacky.

Stelling makes a plate that may work.

It maybe cheaper, but i'm sure it will look like hell. And good luck cutting them off.

The reason for having an alternative to the stock one is for athstetics anyways, so a hack job wouldn't cut it for me.

when I say cut them off I dont mean just hack them off and leave it it doesnt take much to work with aluminum and finesse it to look good, maybe when you cut something you just hack it off but most people I know that are capible of using a hack saw or changing out a inner transom plate can make it look like the mounts where never there from the factory

Could one be fabricated out of say 1" thick billet aluminum?

Basically make it the same outside dimension as a stock unit and then have the inner area the same as well.

What about the rear motor mounts.

It was less trouble to mount the factory one in the Bridgeport and mill off the unnecessary parts. Looks correct and was not that much trouble.

I agree. Making one would be a nightmare. That inner transom plate centerline has to stay in line with the centeline of the outer transom plate. up down, side to side, yikes

IMCO makes a heavy duty inner plate but it only works if you have extension boxes.
I just cut off the part that wasn't being used.

Actually the stellings and imco neutral inner transom plates would work without a exstension box as long as you didn't need a mount for the steering cable. I just bolted a stellings inner transom plate on my boat yesterday so I was just looking at them,Smitty
