I'm going to be changing from XR drives to 6's w/big power. How do I figure out what ratio to be looking for? The boat is a 51' OL I'm thinking around 900hp trips.

You could also get in touch with Scott B, he may know the ratios also.

Why not keep the boat stock so you can do a little travel with it and drive to Long Branch and buy a killer 42' OL with big sterling power. That 42 will wipe everyone in our area by at least 30 mph and will easily fit on a lift

I'm still considering all options. Before I buy anymore boats I'm gonna have to sell some of the ones I already own.
I'm running out of room for storage.
Besides the fact everyone that knows me thinks I might have a boating problem.

more than likely it'll be a 1:50. . considering that boat a boat of this size and weight along with the power you metioned will not see any significant speeds ( like 130 mph as in a legacy or gtx), you wont run out of props. and youll need the help to get her on plane.
none the les you should still check with mike.
