Unhappy I hope you guys are ready for hurricane season.

I can not believe that we are already getting this crap. We need a year with no Hurricanes in Florida if we are ever going to get our insurance to go back down.

Mike this one will be OK just some much needed rain. However later in the season is a different story. I just strap the cradle to the pilings and tie some ropes from the boat to the dock and make hotel arrangements 4+ hrs away and get the heck out. I have a full agreed insurance policy with full windstorm damage protection.

The only insurance I could get for the boat will not cover it during a hurricane on my lift. So I will either get in the boat and head somewhere or I will need to find someone with a trailer and truck that can haul that boat out of the area. Mike

Wish that was possible.
Not only did my insurance rate go up, but my deductable did too. For years the deductable was set at 250.00. Then just a couple years ago it jumped to 500.00. Now it's up over 3000.00. And I didn't have any damage to claim from the three hurricanes that came through my area.

Yeah, I know what ya'll mean! I am just about ready to pull the trigger on a new dock and lift myself. Maybe I should wait until after Hurricane season and leave it inside the rack storage for a few more months!

Bring it on! They are saying there won't be strong damaging winds with this storm, just lots of rain, which we desparately need. It's not particullarly early. If you remember, the first tropical depression came through on the weekend of the Jax poker run, which is going on right now.

Easy to say when your so far away.
Come on down and enjoy the fun.

I'm about as ready as I'll ever be.
Need a new garage door, but that'll happen as I get time.
