"Category 5" 46 Skater info & pics?
#3
I've "heard" it sold in the last few months and is going out of the country. Call Pete Pakovich for the full scoop. Regardless, here are some pics that I'm sure many people have.

That boat was recently rerigged and repowered i bealive with like 1350 or 1500 hp cheif engines not even 7 month ago. The old engines were fine but the owner wanted BIGGER power (it had cheif 1150) That boat is BADASS. It's not only a fast cat but it's also a party boat. It has a HUGE cockpit with a sink, cooler behind the co-pilot chair. It's the high deck skater model. I bealive Tommy took that boat to 140 mph plus with a 33 pich prop. I do know for a while everytime that boat would go out it would break tranny so i THINK they ended up by putting crash boxes. Hope this helps

That's gotta be fun to dock with crash boxes.
I was listening to the talkoffshore.com broadcast of the Puerto Rico races and they said that Category 5 was the pace boat, anybody see it out there?

the owner of category 5 is Puerto Rican, The one that rigged that boat is Chris Floyd from Fort Lauderdale Marine. He goes here on the board by lauderdaleboats. PM him for any 411 on that boat
