Looking
#1
Have been looking mainly for a 24 pantera, but not many coming up close to me, and have not had much time to travel to look at anything. As a result, have considered other boats. I have considered pythons, as they are very similar to panteras, and they come up here and there in my area. Anywhere from 1988 to early 2000s. Any feedback on pythons (build, handling, etc.). Looked at a 24 with an HP 500 last year, but it had transom rot, so pased on it. Still want a Pantera, but might wait until move into a 28 and want to spend more $$$. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Where are you located ? Georiga ? I have seen a couple of pythons before but never really inspected one well. From what I hear the build quality was hit & miss. But take that for what its worth. I personally would choose a Pantera , hands down. Take a look @ Ironmans 24 in the swapshop section. I have never seen the boat but I know he has had it for a long time & he is a great guy give him a call.

The Python was built here on Lake Lanier and some were built better than others. Keep looking for the Pantera. You also have to keep in mind that the Python's are no longer built and are not as well known as other boats so resale could be an issue if you do decide later to try the 28.
