Question Bravo 1 leaking drive fluid... help!!!!

doin some work on the boat and found alot of fluid on the port drive cav plate.. the marina is "gonna try to look at it tomorrow"... but i have to do a run on sat....

any idea what the problem could be? what to check first?

Look at the check plug on the side, it will dribble down and lay on top of the Cav plate, just had it happen.

Also look around where the drive mounts to the bell housing. If they pulled the drive off and either pintched the oil transfer o ring or missed putting one in when they re-installed it, that could also be the problem. Clean it up and see if it comes back. Sometimes when a drive is pulled and not pushed back up all the way when putting it back on, oil will run out of the transfer and run down the back of the drive shaft housing. Then while the rams and all are being put back on the oil runs down the seem and lays on the anti-ventilation plate and under the trim cylinder.

Just something else to check!

if what they say isn't the problem it could be the small oring in the top cap or the front cover.
