Default Anchor Hold Down?

Does anyone know of an anchor hold bracket that I could mount in the engine compartment? My only storage is way up front under the v berth and I don't want to carry the anchor through the cabin. Or if it can't be bought has anyone made one that I could see a picture of?

Box Anchor ROCKS!!! They make 4 sizes, and I have held as many as 6 boats for the day on a single Large Box Anchor. I have a 37' boat and it has only let me down once in an incredibly loose muddy bottom that you could not even stand on. They have a new polished SS model coming out too.

http://www.slideanchor.com/

Fact: two weekends ago we had 10 boats arriving in the Norfolk Harbor for the Harborfest weekend party. Boats were packed tight when we arrived, and we had to get our raftup started. We waited for a good 30-45 minutes while a couple other boats with us could not get their danforth style anchors set. I idled in, chucked out the box anchor (single person operation) and it was set immediately. No risk of drifting into other boats while trying to set the anchor. NO CHAIN required either. All of the other boats had to set their anchors by having someone carry them out, and drop and set them by hand.

I have ones from West Marine. The end of the anchor slides into it, then there is a locking clip at the top of the Anchor.

You know me. I need a good anchor for the river, looks like you need one too..

sakoutis3, I would get the Large for your boat for daily anchoring, and the Extra Large for when you want to set it overnight. Only keep one on board at a time.

It really is a great product. It folks up thin enough that I can store it in the gunwale of my 37' boat or under the cabin couches. I will admit that the bag they include with purchase is useless, but I purchased a simple duffel bag from Target, and store the anchor and 100 feet of line in the bag. I keep the anchor wrapped in a thick auto repair fender pad (also available at Wal-Mart).

See the first 4 pics in this thread:
