On Saturday I pulled into the pit area of OPA knowing my boat was not 100% ready. I needed help installing the drive. Chris and Jay from Papa Dukes jumped right in to help. A few minutes later Val came by with his tool box, and then Warren from Joker stopped to help. Smitty loaned us his drive alignment tool. Tom from Sonic Boom also stopped by and gave some help.
When it was determined that there was a serious alignment problem, Vinny Lazzara and Jay offered to stay up all night to "get it right".
Although we are competitors on the course, I'm extremely proud of my friends in OPA. Even Smitty mentioned how many teams were helping.
Thankyou all! Hope to see you in Mentor!! (with the boat running 100%)
And another special thankyou to Mr. John Haggin, your generosity is VERY MUCH appreciated!!

I just wish we could have gotten you gioing. At least now you have some time to make sure all is good for the next race. Best of luck to you, and stay safe.

I have never been at an OPA race where there weren't teams helping out competitors with parts, help, refreshments, whatever. It is that type of camaraderie that makes people come back race after race. OPA, AMF, and all the teams are truly bringing the sport forward.
