Default 1984 Scarab S-Type -- Did they make any of these in Kevlar?

The guy that bought my old Scarab says he has determined the hull is made of Kevlar. It didn't have KV in the HIN as I thought the Kevlar ones did. He says he took a sample to a company he works with that does alot of work with Kevlar and they say that's what it is.

Boat is a 30' Scarab S-Type (1984) with Kaama Drives. Did they make these in Kevlar? Could the company looking at the hull be mistaken?

Anyone know?

Hey ex-rated what kind of speeds were you getting with how much power on your old scarab? Also did the bottom have enough rocker in it to carry the bow with thoses kaama drives?

Kevlar is bright yellow/gold colored. It wouldn't be hard to see. My old Scarab 300 listed in the brochure at 6800 lbs dry.

Been a couple of years on the speed thing, but I believe it was low to mid 70s. I think it was in the upper 70s a few times, but I don't remember which engines those were. As far as carrying the bow, it was my first boat and I never had it out in any rough water. It never bow steered at all, and everyone I ever let drive said they loved the way it handled. Very solid handling and turned like it was on rails.

The original engines were the Kaama 425 packages -- Gen IV blocks solid flat tappet lifters, etc. The later ones were Gen VI 454HO crate engines.
