Like You Know ....we planning to made the Long Island Sound TRIP ....and we search a good place to stay near West Haven CT.....i made a GOOGLE .....and i need advice on wich one is the best for us .....are you willing ?????

I think you should run to Essex instead of New Haven.
Try sending a PM to FT525(or post in the pantera forum) and Pat McPherson (or post to him in the superboat forum) both of these guys are near that area.

I agree, New Haven is not a very good vacation spot. Essex or Old Saybrook down by the mouth of the Connecticut River would be much much better. Especially if you have your family with you. New Haven is a little rough, I would avoid that whole area.

Thank`s for the advice .....again it`s what i am looking for .....but the friday july 28 we are at Manhatan Ny......and for the saturday we looking for a day around 100 miles ...and if i check we suppose to be around New Haven....have you a better spot ...but not to far ????

You could stop at Port Washington, NY.
Its about 6-8miles east of the Throgs Neck Bridge.
There are a few marinas you could stay at. And there is a water Taxi that could take you to town for food and walking around.
It would make your 1st day's run shorter, but your 2nd a bit longer.
You could also try staying in Port Jefferson... don't know a whole lot about it. I know Port Wash... its where i live.

Yes this what we going to do ...i check the mileage ....and 60 miles ....it`s going to be Ok ....

July 27 Fire Island ......Rafting Ok
July 28 Liberty State Park ....Reservation Ok
July 29 Port Jefferson ......no reservation yet
July 30 Mystic sea Port ....Reservation Ok
July 31 ......hang around ...or maybe go back home !!!!
