Wish to add if anyone works at a Ford/VW dealer please pm me with info on deals you can get me. If you have an 06 Excursion PSD near new miles wise, Eddie Ed. or Limited must have the DVD as well... pm those, want something fairly fast.

The Expedition is just a 1/2 ton platform. Would suprise me that they would even consider a diesel for it.

Keep your Excursion, it is a real truck.

I was under the impression that FORD scrapped the small diesel for the expedition a couple of years ago.

It's become an off menu item dealers dont stock em, but you can still order it takes 3 months.

To replace the discontinued Excursion they are revamping the platform and extending it length wise. My Excursion will be two years old on Aug 9th. has 120K miles a needs an injector, cheaper to replace it. Might keep it for heavy duties long drives, still like something smaller for city daily driving.

Ford decided they needed a smaller hence no more Excursion but still compete size wise with Chevy, hence the sometime announced diesel Expedition for 07....

I wonder if they'd put a diesel in an F-150?

They do have a 6cylinder Powerstroke in production in the Ford LCF medium duty truck. There has just not been any word of it to be used in the Expedition anymore.
