The powerboat racers are off as of 11:05 AM. Weather was slightly cooler than yesterday with a stiff 15 knot wind. Swell looks like it has also kicked up a bit with some whitecaps.
Being an offshore race enthusiast from the West coast, I was stoked with the turnout. We have had a disappointing boat attendance for the last few years. Congratulations to Kevin Cooper and Haggin for pulling this off! Hopefully, PORPRA can resurrect a dying race schedule. I am looking forward to it.

Kinda reminded me of the Miami Vice episode "The Great McCarthy" when they shoot off to Bimini. These guys were a mix of pros and enthusiasts. Way cool!
