Default 496HO Owners

I got my man Fred at Trick on the case, but was wondering if anyone made an offshore mount for the 496?

I'm also told that Mercury does not recommend switching away from the foot mounts because of potental block casting problems...???

Curious to see how other 496s are mounted...pics would be cool too...

block casting problems...??? I havent heard that yet .I guess it wont take much power increase?????

What about the mounts that Baja is running on there 26 Outlaw w/ the 496?

Here is what the 2007 26 Outlaw uses for mounts.

Those look like pretty strong mounts. I'm using the standard merc mounts, bolted to a piece of angle iron. The angle iron is through botled to the stringers.

I would assume that Baja makes these in house. You might want to contact them directly, I am sure they would tell you.
