Mpi 454 Backfiring/skipping
I have a 454 mpi backfiring and skipping when i rev it and backfires only on one side. The boat at steady speed doesnt seem to have the power. Before this happened it would only 4300 max with a 21P. It is a 25 outlaw. Only 53 mph max with no weight...seems slow to me. Thanks...

Check fuel pressure, cap, rotor, wires, plugs-basics first. Also make sure timing is set right-8 deg BTDC in service mode.
