Default Castle Rock Lake, Wisconsin

This Saturday I will be bringing my boat to Castle Rock Lake in Wisconsin. Just wondering if anyone else on the board has been there and has any tips for me.

Thanks.

It's a blast. Most areas are sand bottom up by North end of lake right before railroad bridge. Do Not go north of RR_bridge.

Lots of bars to dock at (6-7) , stay in middle of lake and you will be fine.

Be careful when entering "SPlash's" bar on north east side of lake.

Ask locals or follow them and they will know the danger areas. For the most it's ok. Used to rent the cabins at Gilligans, but they are now building more condos and I think Gilligans beach bar is gone.

Dirty Turtle or the county campground on west side are the places to launch. Have Fun!

Thanks to everyone. I'm wondering if I should put my original prop on or keep my labbed prop on. Any suggestions?

I was on the lake once years ago and didn't have any problems. My only mistake was using a crappy gravel ramp by brother in-law knew of. I've heard they are pretty tight on the speed limit though, so do be careful.

I would run the original props just to be safe.

There's no speed limit there. Cops are VERY lienient. Usually can find some good races too! Just stay in the middle and you won't have any problems.

I have been there once a few years back and we had a blast. There was Tiki bar by where we were staying.
