Towing jetski or small boat behind your boat ??
#1
Looking to occasionally tow a 13' cat the wieghs 600lbs behind my Sonic for when I'm rafted at the cove. It's about a 10 mile ride to the cove. I remember my parents trying to tow my 8' zodiak behind thier 30 cruiser and it never worked out well. Would fishtail and fall outside the wake.
What is the best way to do this ?
I was looking at this website. Anyone use this ?

If you lower the outboard down so it creates drag it will track in a line and tow it with a about 60 feet of line so it can,t get blown out of the wake in a crosswind and it will be alright.I used to tow a 21 inflatable behind my 28 Nordic parasail boat at 35mph for many years.

We had a setup like the toadster thing made from pvc, chain, and hooks, works fine. You could make one in about an hour for about 30 bucks worth of Home Depot stuff if you want to try it.

Try using a line running from cleats on both sides of the transom back to the dingy in a "V" shape. That should keep it in the center of the wake.

I have towed 2 jetskis behind our carver 396 and behind our top gun
I stagger the lines and set them back far enought that they ride inside the wake
we have never had a problem
