Default 47ft Apache whats the deal on this boat?

http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-204.html

I have seen this boat for sale over a year now.....seems damn cheap to me????? Are people afraid of the weight and 3 mills/drives???? Could be a great boat to update~ What power would be needed to run mid 70's-low 80's?

Contact Tony from the ad. I think it used to be his dad's boat.

Trip engines, gimbals and drives are gonna cost ya. I think it is set up ssm 6's. Trip #6's with gimbals will run close to 100k, then you just need another 100k for trip engines.

That boat has been for sale for over yr and half...i would think the reason is because it has 3 mills and it's heavy boat....it is clean looking..i have seen it before

You could just close up the third drive and run twins in it. Do like they did with that other trip Apache and put twin stand up bolsters in the hole where the third motor was. That thing is bad azz! Forget which Apache it is though.

Someone who can afford to outfit that boat and run/maintain it can also afford something just as "impressive" but more modern and efficient. Then you have the barriers of dealing with a 47' offshore boat. Outside Florida, you'd be hard-pressed to find rack storage. This isn't a trailer boat. Unless you have a home on the water and a hydrohoist what are you going to do? Travelift it every time?

It takes a very hard-core person to tackle an Apache 47

I guess you could close up the middle drive and then install a nice marine genset to power the ac unit where the forward engine would go.
