Well I've been waiting to see how everyting wen't from last weekend. We had a Great Weekend in Washington and got our first win for the Lake Shores Marine / D&M Motorsports team. I'm still trying to figure out how to swing it. two weeks turn around is quick!! Plus then the next weekend is the Shooters Shoot-out at LOTO which I was planning on running in it just for fun.
I'd like to know who many P4 boat are coming. And now with Fall River cancelled I'd love it if the OPA gang would come!!!!

With Two other races goin on down south the same weekend, I would not expect a huge turnout. Why schedule a div race the same day as two nationals?

Little or no purse?!?!
We are paying everyone $250 just to show up, plus no entry fee plus $10,000 in prize money.
Calming Down.....
The Village of New Richmond assigned this date with the state travel guide more than a year ago, sorry it could not be changed. According to APBA/SBI rules we are well outside the 600 mile radius surrounding the Panama City (National Event).
There will be around 60-70 thousand people standing on the wall in New Richmond cheering us on, these people are starving for entertainment. The weekend is full, live bands, fireworks, gambling and don't forget the cardboard boats (funny as hell when they go down).
At this time I could not tell you how many boats are coming but I will say that there are several coming down from the Great Lakes area, some of the boats have no competed in a couple of years.
Please remember we are helping the children of MRDD (Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities) with rides on Saturday afternoon. We would appreciate all of your help.
Thanks, Rob.

Rob, best of luck with the event. Any OPA teams that wishes to support this event will recieve an additional $ 200 per boat towards your travel. It's all about Offshore and the Kids. Wish I could come, maybe next year. Smitty

Thank you, Smitty, that is a generous offer. Hope to see you here next year.
I almost forgot that the Steamboat Marina is also suppling dinner to all the racers, racer's families and sponsors Saturday evening.
The "WELCOME" mat is out!
