Aronow 24' Cat?
#3
I took a spin in one back in 89' at the Aronow facility on Gasoline alley. The boat had Twin V8 Johnsons on it. I don't think they made a lot of them. I have some old pics of the boat somewhere. I will try to dig them up.

I don't have much cat experience but it sounds like the tunnel is starting to get packed with air to create lift but then releases a little giving the boat a hopping sensation. Some cats do this at similar speeds.
Do you have tabs on the boat?

ktron is correct.
Im not familiar with your hull but must full tunnel hulls will "lope" at a certain speed. It is the transition point where the hull is packing air but not enough to support its self. The most common fix is to not operate the boat in that window or use a tunnel tab. Tunnel tabs have a downside so do your homework before you decide that you want to go that route.

Tantrum and ktron, thats exactly what the boat does and I installed a temporary tab that is adjustable but not while your driving, so it has a downfall of not being able to come up at speed. haven't got to try it. Was thinking of re-rigging with a pair of Yamaha's, 250's, or 225's vmax's for more reliablity? Will put pictures but haven't figured out how yet?

I had one in 1994 or 95. I traded it in on a 45 Sonic in Minniapolis in 96. Fun boat did around 90 with 2 2.4 merc's. I still have the dual foot pedal and mini swim platform in box that I never put on. I bought it from Copeland jr.and it had Copelands on boat.

damdonzi, mine is a 24' slightly smaller and lower profile. cool brochure,I searched all over trying to find some literature. I did find the ad for the exact boat but you could only read the headline.
