496 repower HELP

496 repower HELP
Iam currently repowering a 30 Velocity and wanted to know if anyone has used 496's with borg warner 72c trans. Will the trans mount to the bell housings? I purchased the boat without engines or transmissions the drives are ssm II. I was told that BW 72 c would handle the torque of the 496. Is this TRUE? Any information would be great on hepling me set this up right.

I think what SmokinScarab is tryin to say is that he has a set of 496's and he wants to know if borg warner 72c transmissions will work with these engines? If not what transmissions will work for this set up?
