Has anyone repainted extension boxes on the boat without removing them. I have a 13 month old 382 and the boxes are pitting. Stellings said they were pitting because I left the boat in the water, hmm. I am the 2nd owner so no warrenty from Stellings. I need to know what to use to fix myself. Any help would be appreciated...

Only thing that will hold up under the water line is (Awlgrip)
Imron does pretty good but will still bubble under water over time if left to long.
You will probably need a self etching primer (veriprime) to grab hold of the aluminum before you put the (awlgrip) on.

Imron is fine for 2 to 3 days. It's when you slip it the entire season that Imron can and will bubble to.
Keep in mind most of the older boats were all painted in Imron.
But for those that slip them all the time all summer long .
They will have some minor repairs under the waterline.
Drives: Not sure what the use any more. E-coat ??
