38ZR any history?

Anyone now the story behind this ZR? http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/7/9/84430279.htm The transom indicates it was in the Virgin Islands, Now in CA? Just curious.

I have always been fond of this ZR. To me, it looks like the 2003 brochure boat and the one that Powerboat tested in '03. I like the entire setup from the staggered 525s to the dual helm controls to the all red interior. Hot sauce!
Talk with the owner Ed. He has basically rebuilt the drivetrain to ensure reliable power. The boat has only 109 hours.
As for the Virgin Islands registration, that was a "cool" destination for Coast Guard registration. The boat stayed in Ft. Lauderdale for a while as a "vacation" boat to travel through the Keys. Now, it is back at home in Ca.

Thanks for the info, I wanted to make sure this was not a scam or something. I have been looking at the 38zr's for a while and this one is closer to my price range and desired power.
