Any Chevy dealers out there?

I am looking at an older Suburban in another state and am trying to find out what equipment it might have on it.
Can anyone run a vin number and tell me what it might have been ordered with? Thanks

There should be a build sticker in the glove box.
GT4 - 3.73 Rear Axle Gear Ratio
GT5 - 4.10 Rear Axle Gear Ratio
G76 - POSITRACTION REAR
G80 - AXLE POSITRACTION, LIMITED SLIP
G81 - POSITRACTION REAR AXLE
This page is dated, but many of the codes are still used much the same:

I see GT4 there. That is definately a 3.73 rear end. That code has been around forever. HOWEVER, it could always have been swapped out by an owner.
GM used to have 3 option packages in most cases.
1SA is pretty basic.
1SB was modern conveniences; AC, PDL, PW, usually the LS model.
1SC was the full monty, usually the LT model with leather, and the nicer stereo.
If its a 1999 with the 7.4L, then it has the Vortec heads and intake which makes for a pretty solid motor. You would not want 1 1995 or earlier. 1997 added a second airbarg, so there is one for the passenger and the driver.
Aggressor 25 here on OSO had the same truck, lifted, and on 35s. He ran it for well over 100,000 miles with no major issues before he sold it.
