Las Vegas To Host OSS National Championships
#1
After a sumptuous fare of OSS races, here comes the desert: Las Vegas, Nevada, will host the 2006 OSS National Championships.
The OSS National Champions will be decided on Lake Meade, site of many previous races. To accommodate this race, the Las Vegas race has been moved to October 6 – 8.
“This date gives teams ample time to prepare for this important double points event,” said OSS Chairman Paul Whittier, “and it also provides time to move the boats back to Destin for the OSS World Championship.”
A look at the 2006 standings, and taking into account that this will be a double points race, shows that anything can happen in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas will roll out the red carpet for the OSS racers. The actual race course will be near Boulder City. Stay tuned for further announcements.
