I am towing my 1996 Ford Bronco to Jacksonville, NC and coming home empty and need a trailer for 2 days Thursday night to Saturday mid day. Towing with an Excursion Diesel and U-Haul junk scares me a little.......

Did you try U Haul? I bought a classic car....picked up the transporter in Western Ohio and the car in Southern Michigan....left the trailer when finished in Pittsburgh
You can trailer you vehicle to the place it has to go and then drop the trailer. Less dragging the trailer around

The U-haul stuff is not too bad. I have used them several times. When/if you make your arrangements; make sure you get one of the newer aluminum trailers that are silver aluminum in color, and not one of the orange steel trailers. The aluminum trailers are new and they rent them for long distance tows as they know they are in better shape. The steel trailers are older and more beat up, and they only use them for local tows.

Sorry...I should have mentioned the newer lighter aluminum trailer...that's the way to go

i used a uhaul to tow a BMW about 800 miles rouns trip (track and backa few years ago) it worked just fine. Just call to reserve one in advance as they tend rent out quickly.
