Decisions - Decisions!!!!

I had low oil pressure up over 4,000 RPM, so I shut it down and stopped running. Probably saved everything by shutting it down, oil pressure only went down to 20 PSI, but I need to take it down and have it inspected.
Now it is decision time. Do I freshen this engine with all new bearings and parts, sell the whole boat turn key (76.8 GPS by the way!), order a new hull from Jo and Pepe and start from scratch with huge HP and the Konrad Drive or part out the XR Drive (26 hours), HD gimble, Imco steering rams, and the fresh engine (638 HP, Fuel Injected, M-1 Procharger) and install my new power and Konrad Drive on this boat using the proceeds from the sale of parts? The 2003 Pleasure version hull has only 93 hours (engine installed Oct '04) with very few rough water hours.
Don't you love these types of life's decisions?
By the way, anyone need a Konrad Drive and CMI Headers? I'm offering package deals soon!

good night Kirk, your as bad as I am. Keep the boat sell the drive and spend some money on a drive and power. Or take it easy on the drive after the new pwr is in. Then pick up a better drive later.
The only time it makes sense to throw money at a problem to fix it would be speed and HP
That's easy for me to say
By the way what is your ultimate goal ?
You may need two boats to get it.

Kirk, wow, first thing I would do is to open the oil filter for any signs of wear, second, tear down the engine and check all the clearances on the rods and mains to see if the block is straight. Third is to check your oil pump to see if it was shimmed properly. Good luck bro, speed is a costly thing isnt it.

Engine will be out by the weekend. It was coming out anyway, so not a major deal. It's probably a main bearing starting to go. Usually if you catch it early, it's not a major overhaul, so I'm not too concerned.
The concern is what to do next....

Is there room in the engine compartment to move the engine forward to fit a tranny behind it, then forgo the extension box.
BTW, i think you'd have a better COG w/ the engine 12"(or so) forward.
You could always advertise her and see what she brings.
If not enough $ just go w/ option 2.
