Question Are Pro Comp shocks any good?

Pro Comp ES3000

03 F250 4x4 now has Rancho shocks from factory that rusted to chit. I no longer tow, do not go off road, no commercial use (plow my own driveway only) and is wife's daily driver. Comfort is key, anyone have experience with these?

Thanks in advance

They are a good shock and the buy 3 deal is great. Pro comp does that all the time and it's a great deal specially when they do the tires.

Your factory shocks may be rusted to hell but keep in mind one very important FACT. They are NOT Rancho shocks. They siimply have a Rancho sticker on them.

I wonder why Rancho would allow Ford to put their name on a poorly made (painted at least) product? I'm only doing the change for the appearance, I take very good care of the truck and with Fords you can see everything underneath. On road ride comfort is most important to my wife.

I have had the 6000's and now the 9000's on my truck. The 6000's felt too soft but its hard to tell with a 6in lift and 20in rims. The 3000's might be too soft, you might want to call them to see which series you should run.

I'll put it in black and white for ya.....

They just pay Rancho for use of the name. You would take the money and run too.

Go with the Rancho 9000's. They are pricey but worth it. They are adjustable so you can tune them to your rig and your driving style. When you put the plow on the front you can stiffen them up and they have a lifetime warranty so if they start to rust or don't hold their valving you get a new set for free. I have had mine for 8 years and am on my 4th set but only paid for them once. I am very hard on them offroad by the way. That is why I go through them so fast.

Thanks Sea-dated, I really appreciate the info, looks like the right choice for off road but the truck never leaves the pavement. The front end really doesn't budge with the plow on it (it rarely even leaves my driveway with the plow on it) and since the truck is now 3 years old I doubt I'd have it long enough to need the big warranty so I couldn't justify the 4 x the price of the Pro-Comp. I'm ordering the Pro-Comps today, I've dragged my *ss long enough on this, its time to break some bolts.
