Small Block to Big Block??????

Small Block to Big Block??????
What would be required to change a small block mercruiser set up to a big block set up. Just bought a boat with a 383 that is blown up, and trying to weigh my odds!!!!!!!

It is not that much different to bolt up a big block. My question is what drive is on there now? Ifs its an Alpha, I would reconsider. Unless you are willing to go to a Bravo.

you can make an azz load of hp with a 383 or 406 sbc, id go that route instead of all the cost to swap for bbc. kiss keep it simle stupid

How much $$$ you gonna spend?
I bought a pair of re-man merc 383 MPI's with new bravo drives for just a little more than I had planned on spending on custom 383's alone, from Pro Tec Marine in AL
