I've been thinking about re-powering my Stinger 260, so I decided to try and find some info online regarding the engines and how much it would cost to replace the engines (new or rebuilt). The engines are Mercruiser MCM-260 engines. So, a few questions:
- does anybody have these engines in their Stinger?
- where can I find rebuild/new MCM-260 engines?
- what would be a good replacement engine, one that would fit with the minimal amount of structural rebuilding necessary?
I'd prefer to replace the engines with direct fuel injection, i.e. not carborated.
thanks for any help!

There are lot's of places that can handel your order. Jegs,Summit, and so on, you can take them as far as you want. You are limited on engine size, there is not enough room far larger blocks, so you must pump up the 350's. Mine are at 420hp and I am running at 60MPH. Remmember your running Alfah drives and that's about all they will handel. Hope this helps. I love my 260 Stinger.
