Hey guys i really didn't have another spot to post this but i figure it is close enough. I have the typical spider cracks on my wind screen, instead of grinding them out and filling them with glass, I am thinking of just doing the whole screen with a layer of carbon fiber. MY ??? is how hard is this stuff to work with, does the final coat need to be perfect or can it be sanded down, smoothed. I have been into hotrods, boats forever, but never messed with this. If anybody could offer a hand it would be great.. Thanks much JOHN

It would depend on if you have to go around hard corners or not. I think that you would also need to clear coat it for UV protection.

I did a dash in Carbon/Kevlar weave, carbon was easy kevlar made it a bear since it doesn't sand. Not real hard overally but you do need to lay it out flat on the first try. I brushed out the epxoy then laid the carbon flat and let it set. Then I put several coats over it finally finishing it with PPG clear.
