Default Update - drive trim - goes down, not up

My port drive will trim down with the switch, but not up. Works fine with the trailer switch. I will check for loose connections, of course, but if I need a trim limit switch (or whatever Merc calls it), do I need to buy the whole friggin' kit? From talking to the parts guy, Merc only sells the entire kit which includes pretty much everything from the switch to the drive, wiring and all. Seems like a bit of overkill seeing as how everything is peachy if I just use the trailer button.

Suggestions?

I had the exact same problem on my Baja this last weekend, and I found it to be a bad switch. It worked fine when I hooked it up to a different toggle switch. I was looking on Eddiemarine.com, and they have an assortment of different style switches to choose from.

Hmmm - could be. I'll have to double check it before I spend over $100 on stuff I might not need...
