We are headed up there for my wife's grandmother's 97th birthday.
We will be staying @ the "Pebble's place" on the May river, and we are only bringing the Seadoo Jet boat. Look forward to exploring the area, is there any waterfront resturants around that are good?

Sounds like your friend's place and the in-law's place on the May river are really close. When we were there last year, when I went running in the morning, I would run down to boat ramp and back! Do your friends know of the "Pebble's Place"? I just left you a message on your cell.

Here's some pics from bluffton! We really like it there, looked into river front property, cheapest place was 1.2 mill! I think we will just keep visiting the "Pebble's Place", ( the wife's family's estate there)
