Who do you guys recommend as a mechanic in the Traverse City MI area? Im having some doubts about my current mechanic and needed some input. Thanks.

For a really good mechanic you might have to travel a little, my guess would be Dave Wesseldyke (sp?) near Grand Rapids. PM Crazyhorse he will let you know how to get in touch with him. People come from all over to have him work on their engines.

DK..The only guys I would recommend in the TC area is John Ruffing@ John's Marine Service or Torch River Marine. Torch River did my valve springs on my 500's last summer. No problems to date. Good Luck!

Try Bear Cove Marina on Wallon Lake near Petoskey. Very high quality service. They are a Cobalt dealer who works on a lot of high performance. They rebuilt the upper ends on my 500's a year ago and brought them back to life. No one other than them will ever touch my boat. Their number is 231-347-1994, talk with Wayne.
