my buddy has a 98 353 with imco extreme drives,we are trying to see what the weak link is because he does not want to break it easily,we want to find the weak ling and upgrade them before they break instead of after.
We think the drives were new around 02 any help would be appreciated.

I've got 250hrs on my Imco(same vintage) with about 550hp in a 5500# boat. Actually, I only have an IMCO upper, but its been great. Never a spec of metal in the lube which gets changed every 25 or so hrs.

Last year i picked up a used Imco SC. It was supposed to be freshly rebuilt. I had 17 hours on it when this happened, not sure how many total hours on it.
