Stupid question about putting boat up for the winter

What do most people do with the batteries? Take them out. If so how do you get the engine hatch down as mine has twin rams. Dissconect the rams?

better put batteries in house and yes disconnect hatch lift.

Take my stereo battery home (optima) to keep on a trickle charger. Leave the main two batteries in the boat, and charge from time to time. They usually last 3-4 years for me.
