River Shiver was a blast! Thank you.

The River Shiver should have been called the River Great Day. The weather was outstanding and the boats that showed up would rival a major Poker Run. Did I count about 50 boats? There was some intense hardware at the run. Well organized is becoming the theme for this club. Famous Freddies is the perfect host with the large room to ourselves with food and drink. The price (FREE TO CLUB MEMBERS) was not what I am accustomed to paying at an event like this. Poker Runs will charge $650-1000 for an event like this. Thank You.

I have heard from a number of locals who live on the river that the boats were too fast for the Shiver. These comments were from people who did not even know I have a boat or was in the event. The Outerlimits bragged about 112 mph on the river. One boat spun out at the dam. Come on guys slow it down on the river. What happened to the 50 mph limit? Maybe we need to stay off the river for these runs. Any other ideas how we can keep the public percpetion of the "those big, fast, loud cigarette boats driving like manics down the river" to a minimum?
