Default speedmaster3 to bravo questions

does anyone know if the hole behind a speedmaster 3 and a bravo transom are the same or close? if i get rid of the ssm3 and install a bravo, will i need to fill in a hole or cut a bigger one??? hopefully it just bolts up in the same spot.....
thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer...

stellings used to make a trs to bravo extension box. not sure if the hole is the same, but it would be worth a call.

Why are you going away from a SSM #3?

Stellings no longer makes those boxes but I think Randy has a few left over from the old days.

I'm with Reed. Why go from a good SSM III drive to a Brako? You could allways go to a Konrad.

We just did a change from Volvo drives to Bravo Diesel. We had to close the hole down and is was not a problem. Just used two layers of ply and rebated it in and glassed over then cut a new hole. Easy really.

Stillens tech guy told me they sold the transom adapters to some speed shop in FLa(dont remember the name, sorry) and I talked to the guy. he says they have extention boxes in stock to go from ssm and trs transoms to bravo. wont even have to get out the duct tape for this project.. now if i could only remember where these bolts went it might start!
